Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3: Marquez Urine is Yummy - Why? Must read!

Manuel_marquez_stop_drinking_urine
Last Marquez fight against Pacquiao, he drink his urine believing that he will win against Pacquiao. But the bad odor urine does effect anymore. Today, Pacquiao Vs Marquez 3: Manuel marquez decide not to continue drinking his urine maybe because he think that Pacquiao cannot be beat my a urine only. It would be better if Marquez will drink urine and hmmmm.. Think of that...

Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez revealed he has discontinued one of his most famous and unusual training regimens: drinking his own urine.

In the 2nd episode of 24/7: Pacquiao vs Marquez, the Mexican fighter said his doctor has already advised him to stop the practice.

"On the advice of my doctor and my physical trainer Angel (Hernandez), they told us we should stop," Marquez said. "We're looking for what can help me, and if the doctor says no longer drinking it will help, then we'll stop."

Marquez is currently training for his trilogy bout against rival Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

During his visit to the Philippines last September, Marquez defended the practice, saying, "My urine is medicine because it has a lot of vitamins."

Hernandez, a graduate of Texas A&M University, explained he gave Marquez a new exercise regimen that will help the boxer handle the additional weight he put in.

Pacquiao and Marquez will fight at a 144-pound catchweight.

"There's a lot of things he's never done, and today he's doing a lot of different things, a lot of different strategies, and he's responding positively to it," Hernandez said.

Marquez admitted that he is new to the state-of-the-art training strategies that Hernandez is espousing.

"It is something I have never done in my career," he said. Nonetheless, he said, "I feel really confident, and I think when the time comes it will serve me well."

Hernandez is focused on allowing Marquez to boost his speed in order to match that of Pacquiao.

"The fight is gonna be about quickness. Obviously, Juan Manuel is quick but not as quick as Mr. Pacquiao," he admitted. "But by doing what we are doing now, he's definitely gonna be fast, real quick, and he's definitely gonna be strong."

Stronger at 144-pounds

Despite having to put on weight, Marquez's sparring partners believe he is stronger at 144-pounds.

"I think the weight is helping. It's helping add power to his punches. He is gaining strength, he seems a lot more powerful," said one sparring partner.

"Last week, he seemed really slow, but he was punching hard. With one jab, he really dazed me," said another sparring partner. "Now I feel like he's hitting harder and he's got speed."

But Marquez' coach, Hall-of-Famer Nacho Beristain, is not yet satisfied with what Marquez is doing, even though the boxer is knocking down his sparring partners.

"Those accidents happen in training. There's no reason to start celebrating yet," he said. "Our goal is Pacquiao. He is what we are working for."

Marquez said he is working as hard as he has ever had for the trilogy bout.

"We're training as if it were my debut, as if this were my first professional fight," he said. "We're training that hard."

Pacquiao and Marquez will meet each other for the 3rd time on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquoao_vs_marquez_3_fight_pictures4667
It is below 15 days more to go. The real breath taking fight of this year will be happening - Pacquiao Vs Marquez 3. How excited I am. Now, you might ask why I should buy PPV, what are the things that I will expect this fight? Is it more war? or just a wate of time boxing fight? To tell you the truth, according to the news that there is zero killings in the country when Manny Pacquiao have fight. We will wish that all day Manny Pacquiiao have fight so that there is No War in Mindanao at all. Agree?

Filipino superstar and pound-for-pound leader Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38KO) will make his return to the ring on Nov. 12th versus a familiar foe in Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1, 38KO), who is jumping up 10 pounds in weight to face an opponent he has come close to defeating on two different occasions.

Their first two meetings were memorable bouts with two very different results. What will the third bring us?

In the first bout in 2004, Pacquiao made a statement early, dropping the Mexican fighter three times in the first round. Marquez showcased the heart of a champion and fought back to earn himself a draw after 12 rounds.

The rematch took place in 2008, and had it not been for a single knockdown suffered by Marquez in Round 3, he may have come away with the victory. Marquez out-landed Pacquiao in the bout, but it was not enough to earn the win, losing a split-decision many had thought he won.

Let the countdown begin!

Could Pacquiao Retire After Beating Marquez? Or want Mayweather!

Pacquiao_vs_marquez_fight_latest_pictures98745
People always wanted and shout for Pacquiao Vs Mayweather. But why did Mayweather makes any excuses. Is it true that he is a chicken? It is an excuse? or it is true that Pacquiao uses steroids in all his fights. There are different questions which will the answer is non sense.

Today, what if Pacquiao tired of hearing Floyds different version of reasons? Then Pacquiao said that he will retire after he beat Marquez in this coming fight - Pacquiao Vs Marquez 3. Looks like we predict that really Pacquiao will win the fight.

If there is NO Pacquiao Mayweather anymore. There is no intense in the field of boxing in this decade, right?

Manny Pacquiao faces his rival Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time this November 12. After having such a storied career of 53 wins, only three losses, and two draws, it's time to consider the end.

Every boxing career is a narrative that has a beginning, middle and end. Most great fighters have beginnings that contain a string of no-names that must be beaten into obscurity to achieve fame.

The middle is defined by defeating other great fighters, which Pacquiao has against the likes of Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, among others.

The end of many great boxing narratives is rarely defined by a clean break off. Usually boxers can't get away right before the inevitable betrayal by their bodies.

They age right before the public with thoughts moving fast as lightning, but feet and fists snailing behind by a few seconds when they once were in total sync.

To avoid this seemingly inevitable end, Pacquiao must decide when to end his career.

To end his career, he needs a great fight that can act as a bloody beautiful finale to a brilliant career. A trilogy with Juan Manuel Marquez seems to be the trick, but is it?

Michael Bolton Said I Love You Pacquiao But I Lie?

Mbolton-cover-lg
It makes me amaze but I know this is the reality that Manny Pacquiao idolize by almost of the prominent people around the world. Even Michael Bolton want's Manny Pacquiao to win in this coming November 12 fight - The Pacquiao Vs Marquez 3 Fight.

Top composer David Foster and his fellow artists Philip Bailey, Ashanti and Michael Bolton expressed their excitement over the upcoming fight of Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao against Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas on November 12.

In an interview during a press conference for their October 25 concert dubbed "Hit Man Returns: David Foster & Friends" at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Foster and the other artists admitted that they are all fans of Pacquiao and that they want him to win the fight.

"Yeah (we want him to win)," Ashanti said.

"Probably he's the greatest fighter who ever lived. I'd love him to win. I wish I could go there to watch the fight," Bolton added.

Foster agreed with Bolton, saying, "I saw him fight live three months ago. It's crazy because, like Michael said, we never experienced a fighter who gets stronger and faster. I remembered Muhammad Ali told me a couple of years ago 'I've never seen a fighter getting stronger and faster every round.'"

"He (Pacquiao) is a sweet guy, your national treasure. When I did finally meet him, I was so excited to meet him and I want to ask about his boxing [but] the only one he is talking about is music. But it's fun to me, of course," he added.

Asked to assess Pacquiao's singing talent, Foster replied, "I haven't heard him sing. I saw him sing one song live, I think 'Sometimes When We Touch.' I believe that's the song he loved. He sang it in a big arena so it was hard to tell. It's hard to hear how we sing. [But] I thought it's great."

Meanwhile, Foster said he is open to writing a song for Pacquiao, if given a chance.

Perhaps the most anticipated bout of the year is less than 20 days away, as Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2) and Juan Manuel Marquez, (53-5-1) prepare to meet at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 12, 2011, for the third time.

The first two times these boxers fought it was an exciting and intense bout, and there was no clear winner. Even though neither boxer has a personal grudge against the other, both approach this fight as unfinished business.

This time the WBO welterweight title will be on the line, as well as a great deal of respect. The first fight ended in a draw, and the second ended in a split decision victory for Pacquiao.

It will be more than three and a half years since they lost fought, and styles and attitudes have change in that time, but the resentment for the past decisions have not.

Based on several reports, Pacquiao has taken his training regimen to another level. His trainer, Freddie Roach, was recently warned by Top Rank CEO Bob Arum to slow Pacquiao down.

Who give Manny Pacquiao a Ferrari 458?

Manny_pacquiao_new_ferrari_458_02
I know that you can't even ask, who is that person send a gift to Manny Pacquiao like this luxurious car. Manny said that someone give him a Ferrari 458. Do you believe? Of course, we all know that Manny Pacquiao is soo much rich and he can buy any any and any expensive things here in earth as long as he like it, even girls? I do not know..of course.

Going back to his new Ferrari 458, Manny bought it 3 weeks before the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 fight. This car is said to be the WOW car in the whole world. Imagine, just a little  boy coming from a broken poor family. For some reason, he can drive a sexy Ferrari 458 now...God's gift...

Filipino boxing star Manny Pacquiao gifted himself with a brand new Ferrari 458 Italia barely three weeks before his showdown with Mexican counter-puncher Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao's decision to buy a new Ferrari car worth at least US$225,000 runs counter to earlier news that the eight-division boxing champion is running out of cash due to cost of lawsuits, IRS dues and bad investments.

Dr. Ed de la Vega, who broke the news this weekend, said the new Ferrari, now parked at the Filipino champion's apartment unit at the Palazzo in downtown Los Angeles, is colored gray, Nick Giongko of Bulletin Today wrote.

Pacquiao has a wide array of expensive cars which he usually buys whenever he is in California during major fights. Among the high-end cars he uses while moving around Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the Philippines include a Porsche, Lincoln Navigator, Escalade, Mercedez Benz and other SUVs which his escorts use for official functions in line with his work as congressman in the Philippines.

Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car made by Italian Sports car manufacturer Ferrari. The 458 series replaces the Ferrari F450 and uses technology derived from the company's Formula 1 experience. It was first unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5 L V8 engine and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under 3.4 seconds. It has a top speed of 325 km/h with fuel consumption of about 21.2 mpg.

Pacquiao will face Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time since they fought in 2004 which ended in a draw and the second in 2008 with Pacquiao winning via split decision.

In both fights, Marquez has claimed he was the winner but was cheated in the scoreboards.

The Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 12, 2011.

Do you believe that Bob Arum Protecting Manny Pacquiao from Floyd Mayweather?

Pacquiao_vs_mayweather_3245
I want to ask you, Do you believe that Bob Arum Protecting Manny Pacquiao from Floyd Mayweather? We all know that Mayweather always hiding his ass specially when talking about fighting Pacquiao. He have many good reason on why and what to hide from Pacquiao fight. Does he afraid that Pacquiao take him down to the floor? Floyld is MONEY, and he always be MONEY. Floyld defend his name, he is undefeated and will not defeat from any boxing warrior through out the world. How far or how long does he defend himself from any attackers?

Here is what we can say with certainty: despite countless efforts by many different people, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are no closer to agreeing to a match today than they were two years ago.

Even though both stand to get the biggest paydays of their careers from this fight, even though their legacies may ultimately be defined by the fact that they never faced one another, for whatever reason, they just refuse to reasonably sit down at a table and hash out details that both parties can agree to.

That much we know for sure. What we don’t know, however, is why this is the case. Why are Pacquiao and Mayweather so unreasonable when it comes to this issue?

Mayweather, for his part, is a notorious against-the-grain contrarian. He constantly needs things to be done his way, on his terms – no ands, ifs, or buts about it.

He’s always been renowned for his stubbornness and inability to empathize with anyone, so his tone-deafness on how the public feels about him constantly repeating his tired, “take the test” mantra is understandable. He’s just that type of guy.

What has been more odd, though, is watching Pacquiao sink down to his level. Watching the No. 1 pound for pound fighter in the world who has traditionally been recognized as the people’s champ, refuse to be the bigger man.

If for no other reason than to appease his fans and legitimize himself as the best pound-for-pounder in the world today, you would think that Pacquiao would be able to get over his nonsensical beef with Mayweather, and proceed for the greater good.

Yet he hasn’t.

Which presents this question: does he even want to fight Mayweather? Or is he content letting folks think he’s willing to fight his undefeated rival all the while helping Top Rank boss, Bob Arum, collect massive paydays by pitting him against other Top Rank boxers?

During a recent interview with the good folks from 8CountNews, Jeff Mayweather alluded to this possibility. He explained that it was more profitable for Arum to consistently set Pacquiao up against other Top Rank guys -- like the completely overmatched Timothy Bradley -- because it maximizes the money rolling in all the while minimizing risk.

And, obviously, even though no single fight between Pacquiao and a nameless Top Rank participant can equate to the payday that a Pacquiao v. Mayweather battle would generate – when you start piling on one after another after another, you come awfully close.

This isn’t the first time that someone has suggested that Arum hides Pacquiao from challengers and only lets him go against people in his Top Rank stable. Sergio Martinez’s promoter Lou Dibella has often pointed out that Arum tends to avoid working with others when it comes to setting up fights against his golden goose.

He also said that the major reason why a Martinez vs. Pacquiao fight will never come to fruition is precisely because the former isn’t a part of the Top Rank family.

So, what does this mean? Well, it means that the Pacquiao v. Mayweather megafight is much more complex than most believe. It’s not simply a matter of Floyd wanting Manny to take the test, and the Filipino champ not obliging.

There’s a lot of financial strings being pulled by the powers that be who are attempting to ensure a big payday regardless of what happens.

In the end – all of the boxers and promoters will make a lot of money and walk away happy. The fans?

No such luck.

Boxing Pacquiao vs Marquez: Pac-Man Will Finally Land Knockout

Pacquiao_vs_marquez_3_fight_pictures234
The very close fight fight was the Pacquiao vs Marquez bout. This will be what boxing analyst said since they almost have the same speed and quickness. We all know that even Manny Pacquiao feel hardness in beating Marquez in their last fight. Marquez was so clever and counter puncher. That is the type of boxing fighter that Pacquiao loves. For this coming third and final fight, we sould expend something different and something intense.

There will be no draw or split decision this time. Manny Pacquiao will finally land the long anticipated knockout blow against his rival Juan Manuel Marquez.

The first two fights didn't go according to plan for Pacquiao, who came away with a draw and a  split decision victory.

Pacquiao wants to prove once and for all that he is the better fighter, and what better way to prove that than by knocking Marquez out?

It has been over two years since Pacquiao has knocked someone out. His last knockout came against Ricky Hatton, but he did have a TKO just months later against Miguel Ángel Cotto.

Things are different for Pacquiao now, as he has a ton to prove. A Marquez knockout has avoided him for seven years now, and this is the perfect situation for him to thrive.

Marquez is now 38 years old, and is just a shadow of what he once was at 31 years old. Pacquiao is also aging, but at 32 years old, he has plenty of tread left on his tires.

Add to the fact that Pac-Man is preparing as hard as possible for this match, and there should be no doubt in anyone's mind about who will win this bout.

Here is what Alex Ariza, Pacquiao's conditioning coach, had to say about his preparation for this bout in a conversation with the LA Times,

He wants to be as big as he was against Miguel Cotto. But Cotto was the equivalent of a linebacker, and Marquez is a free safety.

I think he just wants to kill Marquez.

Can anyone blame him? He wants to prove his doubters wrong, and he wants to finally annihilate Marquez. The two fighters have a ton of bad blood between them, especially after Marquez visited the Philippines with a shirt stating that he was robbed of a victory, and another one that claimed he beat Pacquiao twice while doing a press conference.

Timothy Bradley said Pacquiao is a different beast now, why?

Pacquiao_vs_marquez_3_fight_pictures
Why do Timothy Bradley said Pacquiao is a different beast now? Bradley was observed the last 2 fights between Pacquiao and Marquez which he said that it was the very controvesial fight. Even most of the people predicts that pacquiao will really win the coming fight because of different reason. How about marquez technuique? It does not work anymore? Let say driniking his urine. Which pacquiao opposed.

MANILA, Philippines - World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley thinks Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez will give Filipino boxing champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao a competitive match on November 12 - at least, in the early rounds.

"To be honest with you, I think Marquez will hang with him early," Bradley said in an interview with BoxingScene.com.

It will be the third meeting between Pacquiao and Marquez, after their two previous fights ended in controversy.

They battled to a draw in 2004 before Pacquiao took the 2008 rematch via split decision. But Marquez has repeatedly claimed that he won both fights, leading Pacquiao to say that he will end all doubts and questions in the third meeting.

Bradley is favoring Pacquiao to win the trilogy bout, even if Marquez has consistently posed a problem for the Filipino.

"If Manny doesn't cramp up, I think he will get him out of there. Marquez seems to have his number, but it has been some years since they last fought," Bradley said. "Manny is a different beast now."

Bradley is among the boxers being rumored as a potential opponent for Pacquiao. He recently signed with Top Rank and will fight 40-year-old veteran Joel Casamayor on the undercard of the Pacquiao-Marquez bout.

"Casamayor is still strong," Bradley said of his opponent. "He may be older, but power is the last thing to go. He has a reason to get up for this fight. I have everything to lose and he has everything to gain."

As for a potential fight with Pacquiao, Bradley admits he would rather fight the pound-for-pound king rather than the undefeated WBC welterweight champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"I would prefer to fight Pacquiao than Mayweather. Stylistically, he fits to my game. His speed and quickness I can match-up with," Bradley said. "Mayweather is more of a defensive fighter. I think a fight with Pacquiao would be more exciting."

Bradley has a 27-0 win-loss record with 1 no contest.

Mayweather decides to fight Pacquiao after watching Pacquiao Vs Marquez 3

Pacquiao_vs_mayweather_latest_pictures
For long long time ago that people wanted Pacquiao and Mayweather will have their deadly fight. When? and what will be the exact time for this? Ask me and ask other people. Also ask Mayweather, surely he will answer that Pacquiao need to have a test before fighting him. This will be issue before because they suspects that Pacquiao taking steroids. What are you in favor? Steroids? or Chicken? lol.

San Francisco’s Karim Mayfield threw me for a loop recently when he announced he would be moving down in weight and campaigning in the junior welterweight class for his future ring endeavors. Mayfield had been looking for riches in the welterweight class, with brief stints as a junior middleweight, and I was curious as to how the 30-year old was going to cope with shedding seven additional pounds five years into his career.

But as I talked to Mayfield on Monday night, a few things became clear. Karim revealed that he typically took fights above 150 pounds in the past either because of what certain promoters were offering or due to simply not having remained active enough prior to receiving certain offers.

Having previously fought at 140 pounds as an amateur in the Golden Gloves, Mayfield felt that a move back to the junior welterweight class was possible once he got down to as low as 145 pounds for his June 17th bout with former champion Steve Forbes, a fight that Mayfield would win via 10th round TKO. Mayfield would accept a challenge against Venezuelan-born Patrick Lopez and won the bout convincingly on the first of this month, dropping the New Hampshire resident three times on his way to a unanimous decision verdict.

“I would say the fight was a tough fight,” Mayfield said when asked about the contest. “He’s definitely a good caliber opponent. He’s definitely a step up from my other opponents I’ve been fighting. And just his intensity and his will, I mean, I knocked the guy down three times and he kept getting back up. I would give my performance, I still haven’t seen the fight but judging from what I feel, I would give myself a B-.”

The junior welterweight class is a bustling division full of talent around all corners and there are a few names that came out of Mayfield’s mouth when asked about the near future.

“Honestly, I would like to fight a Vernon Paris; he’s ranked high in the WBO. Or the winner of Danny Garcia-Kendall Holt,” Mayfield added.

Mayfield was then asked his opinion on the two men regarded as the division’s best in WBA and IBF champion Amir Khan and WBO champion Timothy Bradley. While it’s very likely that both men will be campaigning at 147 pounds come 2012, Mayfield took time to visualize on fights with both.

“I definitely know I can get in there and mix it up with them,” said Mayfield, who actually worked with Bradley prior to the Palm Springs, Calif. fighter’s August 2009 tussle with Nate Campbell. “I know my style and my will and the way that I fight. If I was offered a fight with those guys I would take it. I definitely need to tighten up some things in my next camp. You won’t see no B- performances from me anymore.”

Mayfield’s career got a serious boost of exposure earlier this year when he was brought in as a chief sparring partner for Manny Pacquiao as the Filipino prepared for his May 7th assignment with Shane Mosley. Mayfield was able to appreciate many sides of Manny both in and out of the ring and gave his prediction on the forthcoming trilogy match between Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12th.

“I see it being an exciting but Pacquiao has been on the top of his game the last few years and Marquez has been going through a lot of wars,” said Mayfield. “Pacquiao has had some great fights but they weren’t wars, he wasn’t getting punched back and forth. He actually showed a lot of defense in the last two fights. I think he’s more persevered now and I think he will come out victorious and stop Marquez by the 8th round.”

It just so happens that the first time I came across Mayfield, roughly a year ago in Las Vegas, he was working with outspoken trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. Mayweather’s son Floyd Jr. is coming off of 4th round knockout over Victor Ortiz last month but Mayfield is unsure whether or not he will have an interest in a long-discussed Pacquiao mega fight.

“I’m thinking that he will go for a Pacquiao fight if it’s a tough fight vs. Marquez. I can see him going after Pacquiao if it’s a tough fight. But if Pacquiao humiliates this guy, he aint going to want no part of him.”

Pacquiao will not Count on Mayweather Fight If Pac-Man Defeats Marquez

Pacquiao_vs_marquez_3_latest_pictures

If Pac-Man defeats Marquez then what's next? It is already mayweather? This is will the questions of all. When will be the dream fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather? why not revealing their real pride. Who is the chicken? lol. Anyway, time will come, it should come and that would be the end of the world. hehe. I am here always follow their updates and I am the one who will send you a news about their coming fight. If they...

Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather: It is the fight that boxing needs, but is not likely to see anytime soon.

Just two months after Mayweather made his triumphant return to the sport by defeating Victor Ortiz, Pacquiao will step into the ring against Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time on November 12.

Their first two bouts have been exciting, with the first one ending in a draw and the second going to Pacquiao via split decision.

There seems to be a strong feeling among fans that if Pacquiao defeats Marquez again that the much-hyped super fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather would be next on the agenda for both competitors.

Not to burst your bubble, but don't hold your breath waiting for that fight to happen.

We have been teased with this fight for so long that the idea of either guy agreeing to it at this stage of the game is beyond ridiculous.

Yes, the money that both guys would stand to make would be more than they have pulled in for a fight in their careers. But Mayweather just made a $25 million base salary for fighting Ortiz, which does not include sponsor money and his share of the pay-per-view revenue.

All told, he could walk away from that fight with nearly $60 million.

Pacquiao is no slouch in the financial department. He is going to earn at least $20 million for his fight with Marquez.

The purse for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would likely double, at least, the $20-25 million base salary that these two earn right now. But it is not like they are hurting for money at this juncture.

The other reason that the fight is not going to happen is because Mayweather is obviously afraid of fighting Pacquiao.

No disrespect to everyone that Mayweather has fought in his career, but those were all fights that he knew he could win and keep his undefeated record intact.

Pacquiao is the only fighter in the world that has a chance to defeat Mayweather, and that scares him to no end.

All Mayweather has in his life is that precious 42-0 record. If he loses that, then he becomes just another boxer.

There are a lot of reasons for both these men to accept this fight, if Pacquiao beats Marquez in November. But until they actually sign a contract to make it official, don't expect it to happen soon.

Manny Pacquiao: Juan Manuel Marquez is Biggest Rival of the year 2011

Pacquiao_vs_marquez_3_latest_pictures
Time is coming, the final judgement will come and that is the live fight between pacquiao and maquez. This is said to be the pacquiao vs marquez 3 rematch. People throught the world are waiting for the day to come. Just this evening I hear Manny Pacquiao saying over news that he is really ready and excited for the coming fight. How about Marquez? Is he really and excited too?

By Nick Tylwalk

Before we get to the third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, or even the 24/7 series leading up to the bout, we've got Max Kellerman sitting down with both men and their trainers. Time for Face Off.

Kellerman freezes highlights of Pacquiao-Marquez I after the first knockdown. JMM says he had confidence at the beginning of the round and was surprised to hit the canvas. Pac-Man admits he was hurt by the first left hook from Marquez but not enough to lose faith in himself.

After the third knockdown, Kellerman points out that Pacquiao hit Marquez after the third knockdown. JMM thought the referee was going to warn him but doesn't think it was dirty on Pacquiao's part, just the passion in the fight. Manny says Marquez was not on the mat yet. Kellerman wonders if this was the most heroic moment of Marquez's career, but Juan Manuel says he felt good.

Asked if he was frustrated that his pinpoint right hands did not stop Pacquiao, JMM thinks Manny has a strong chin. Freddie Roach shows why Pacquiao was able to be hit with those right hands and mostly chalks it up to incorrect footwork. Kellerman amusingly uses both fighters to demonstrate positioning.

Pacquaio says that both he and JMM give people exactly what they want to see and fight like fighters. We move on to the second fight.

Kellerman asks about the knockdown by Pacquiao, which came from a left hand thrown at a very unusual angle. Marquez felt that only made him more motivated in a "I'm not letting this happen again" sort of way. Roach thinks the accuracy made it such a strong shot.

Both fighters are up off their stools again to show why JMM was able to land right hands late in the second fight. Roach thinks proper footwork and positioning can nullify those shots and allow Manny to land left hands.

Not surprisingly, both boxers think they won the second fight. Kellerman asks JMM is he feels he is an appetizer for a Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather bout. He laughs a bit and feels bad because Manny has to think only about fighting him. Pacquiao thinks Marquez has a right to feel he was wronged by the first two decisions, so he wants to erase any doubt with a victory in the third meeting.

Marquez agrees that his legacy will be cemented if he wins this fight. Roach jokingly says Pacquiao can only be president of his country if he wins. JMM tells the people they can expect another great fight because he is preparing for one. Pac-man closes out by calling JMM his greatest rival, eclipsing even Erik Morales.
